What it does

WebChatGPT is a browser extension that adds web results to the prompts you send to ChatGPT, aiming for more current answers. It can fetch search results, scrape whole search result pages and extract text from any URL, and you decide what gets included in the prompt. The extension also includes a prompt library of ready-made prompts for areas such as marketing, sales, copywriting, operations and customer support, which run in one click, and lets you save your own prompt templates. A separate Search with AI feature shows AI-generated answers next to search results, and the listing names ChatGPT, Claude, Bard and Bing AI as sources. The listing says the extension asks for access to all websites because it has no backend server and does everything locally in the browser. The developer states that it does not collect or use user data. The listing describes it as free, shows roughly one million users, and was last updated in March 2026.
