WhoDB

WhoDB is a self-hosted workspace for browsing and editing databases, running queries and viewing schemas, with optional plain-English chat through a local or hosted AI provider.

What it does

WhoDB puts database work in one place. You connect it to a database, then browse tables in a grid, edit records, run queries in a scratchpad and view how tables relate to each other. It runs in a browser and can be self-hosted with Docker, and there are also desktop and terminal versions. The AI side is optional. If you turn it on, you choose the provider yourself, either a local one such as Ollama or LM Studio or a hosted one such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini, and then ask questions in plain English. The command-line version also includes an MCP server for use with AI tools. The community edition covers many databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch and ClickHouse, and support differs from one database to the next. A separate commercial self-hosted edition, WhoDB Platform, adds shared projects, SSO, access controls and audit logs.
