What it does
The workflow has three steps. First, the user installs a small agent on the server with one command. Second, the user adds https://askyourstack.com/mcp as a connector in an AI client that supports remote MCP servers. Third, the user asks for server work in plain words, and the AI runs commands and edits files through the agent. The agent calls out to AskYourStack over HTTPS and opens no port. It runs as the Linux user who owns the sites unless the user chooses root. Changes are refused until the user opens a change window of 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. Destructive actions wait for the user's approval. Any Linux server with systemd works, including a fresh empty VPS.
Capabilities
- Sets up a raw server with packages, users, nginx, PHP, MySQL, SSL, swap and time zone.
- Installs Magento or WordPress, sets up cron and caching, and checks that the site serves.
- Locks a server down with a firewall, SSH keys only, fail2ban and automatic security updates, and explains each change before making it.
- Snapshots /etc before changes and snapshots folders and databases before risky work, with rollback in one call.
- Reads Google Search Console data on every plan and can read Google Analytics 4 on Pro and Agency.
When to use it
- You have an empty VPS and want it set up for a Magento 2 shop or a WordPress site.
- Your site returns a 500 error or a cron job has stopped, and you want the logs read and the cause fixed.
- You suspect backdoors or card skimmers and want files, database and cron scanned and cleaned up with your approval.
