What it does
FileFeed accepts client files as CSV, Excel, TSV, JSON or XML. You can give each client a FileFeed-hosted SFTP folder, connect the client's own SFTP server, or accept email attachments from allow-listed senders. AI suggests how the client's columns fit your schema. You review and approve the mapping once per client. Built-in transforms clean every field. FileFeed validates every new file. It then delivers clean JSON through a signed webhook or the REST API. FileFeed sends a signed FILE_PROCESSED webhook event when a file is ready. You pull the clean rows with the SDK or the REST API. Processed files can go back to the client's SFTP.
Capabilities
- FileFeed flags bad rows with the reason, such as an invalid email or an empty required field.
- Every run is logged and searchable, and it can be run again after you fix a mapping.
- FileFeed provides per-client SFTP folders and dedicated credentials, with IP allow-listing on every connection.
- Webhooks are signed with HMAC SHA256 and retried automatically, and downloads are served through expiring presigned links.
- The Embeddable Importer ships as a React SDK for manual, in-app CSV uploads.
When to use it
- Your B2B SaaS enterprise clients send files in their own formats, and each new client used to mean a developer, new code and a deployment.
- Your benefits or HR platform receives employee data from Workday, BambooHR, ADP or custom exports.
- Your payroll or fintech vendor receives payroll registers from employers in formats your team did not design.
