Flottix is an IT asset and software license registry that AI agents operate through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), with people reviewing and approving changes.

What it does

Flottix tracks hardware assets, software licenses, kits, people, audits and maintenance in one registry. Its MCP server has 17 verb-dispatched tools covering 70+ operations. A REST API is also available. The reader generates an API key in Settings → API Keys. The reader then points an MCP client at https://flottix.app/api/mcp with a Bearer header. The agent plans the operation and drafts the changes. The Flottix engine then enforces tenant isolation, license seats and valid state, and writes an immutable audit entry. The reader reviews and approves the result. Flottix says one MCP tool call can onboard an employee with a four-piece kit in a single transaction.

Capabilities

  • Asset tracking keeps a full custody history for each laptop, monitor and server, enforced by a state machine.
  • License management tracks seats, renewals and compliance obligations, and an agent can find unused seats and reclaim them.
  • Inventory audits use QR codes with session management and discrepancy reporting. Agents can pre-stage audit sessions, and humans scan and confirm.
  • A two-phase confirmation pattern requires the agent to present an impact manifest before sensitive writes.
  • CSV import migrates data from spreadsheets.
