What it does
Kivi UI is a React component library built with Tailwind CSS and Framer Motion. It offers 60+ React UI components and landing page blocks. Developers browse the catalog and add only the components they need into their codebase. They can do this with one CLI command, npx kiviui-cli add <component>, or through the shadcn registry. The added code is fully editable and carries no lock-in. Kivi UI also provides a Model Context Protocol integration. It connects to AI tools and editors so users can browse, search, and insert components. Documentation covers introduction, project setup, the CLI, and the MCP server.
Capabilities
- Pre-configured blocks include an authentication page with a tabbed sign-up and login layout and a curved testimonial layout called Testimonial Arc.
- Shader components include Gradient Color Shader, Dotted Shader, Smoke Shader, and Glitch Shader.
- Every component ships with design tokens for light and dark themes.
- Layouts are tested down to 320px breakpoints.
- Motion is built with Framer Motion and supports prefers-reduced-motion.
When to use it
- Use it when you are building a React or Next.js website and want ready-made animated components.
- Use it when you need pre-built landing page blocks, such as sign-in pages or testimonial sections.
- Use it when you want to add components from AI tools or editors through the Model Context Protocol.
