What it does
Claude Code Remote Control normally runs as a foreground process in a terminal. When the window closes, the process crashes or the machine reboots, a phone loses access to the machine. LiveClaude runs one claude remote-control server for each project directory. Each server runs inside its own pseudo terminal. A supervisor process owns the servers. The desktop app talks to the supervisor over a named pipe on Windows and a Unix socket on other systems. Closing the app window does not stop the servers. To add a session, choose a directory, a name and the flags you want. The supervisor parses server output for the session URL and for states that need your attention, and writes the output to a rolling log. After an exit, it restarts the server and uses --continue when the previous session can still be reattached. Reattachment works only within Remote Control's four-hour window. LiveClaude requires a Claude Code sign-in on a Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plan. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with Anthropic.
Capabilities
- Restarts after a crash use exponential backoff and a restart budget that you choose.
- Hosting options include a scheduled task, a systemd user unit or a LaunchAgent that runs in your own session. A Windows service, a systemd system unit or a LaunchDaemon starts before anyone signs in. The app installs, starts and removes all of them.
- Session settings cover spawn mode, permission mode, capacity, worktrees, session-name prefix, fixed session id, sandbox, model and extra arguments. The app shows a live preview of the exact command line.
- An embedded terminal handles workspace trust, the one-time Remote Control confirmation and /login. You can also attach to a running server and type into it.
- Each server shows one of these states: running, starting, needs attention, backing off or failed. Session URLs are one click away, and a separate supervisor log covers the host itself.
When to use it
- You need Remote Control to keep running after you close the terminal window.
- You want Remote Control servers to come back after a crash.
- You want Remote Control servers to start again at logon or after a reboot.
