What it does
Sengi Runners is a managed GitHub Actions runner service. Workflows stay in GitHub Actions. Jobs run on 5 GHz AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D bare metal machines with local NVMe storage. Each job gets a fresh virtual machine. Setup starts by connecting the repository at app.sengi.run. Then change the runs-on line of each eligible job, for example from ubuntu-latest to sengi-standard-2-ubuntu-2404. A coding agent can make the change instead. The agent prompt classifies eligible jobs, edits only the runs-on line, and opens a pull request for review. Reverting that pull request returns jobs to GitHub's runners. Sengi runs Ubuntu 24.04 on x64 only.
Capabilities
- Three runner sizes are available: 2 vCPU with 8 GB RAM, 4 vCPU with 16 GB RAM, and 8 vCPU with 32 GB RAM.
- Sengi says builds finish up to 1.9× faster and cost up to 74% less per build than GitHub's runners, based on a production Docker image build at 4 vCPU on RunsOn's open benchmark harness run on October 9, 2026.
- Sengi says 2 vCPU jobs are ready in 2 seconds because the runners are pre-booted.
- Docker layer caching with type=gha is included.
- A dashboard shows the start time and run time of each job.
When to use it
- Your team pays GitHub for Actions minutes on private-repository CI past the plan's included minutes.
- Your workflows run 4 or 8 vCPU jobs.
- Your coding agents open pull requests that trigger CI runs.
