A stable release built on Envoy Gateway

According to Tetrate’s announcement on PR Newswire, Envoy AI Gateway v1.0 is intended to help organizations route, secure, observe, and control traffic to AI inference services at scale. The Envoy AI Gateway project’s own release announcement describes version 1.0 as its first stable, generally available release.

The project says Envoy AI Gateway is built on CNCF Envoy Gateway, extending Envoy-based infrastructure patterns to AI workloads. In its v1.0 announcement, Envoy AI Gateway said the release includes stable control-plane APIs and support for 16 providers. The project positions those features as a way for teams to use one gateway layer across multiple model providers instead of building separate integrations for each endpoint.
