Snyk is hiring security talent for a world where AI agents are writing code. 👀
A new Boston-based Senior Product Security Engineer role at Snyk explicitly mentions Claude Code and Model Context Protocol (MCP) alongside AWS, Google Cloud, Kubernetes and Terraform.
That combination is interesting.
It suggests AI-assisted development is no longer being treated purely as a developer productivity tool. The AI tools themselves are becoming part of the security surface.
And that creates a new set of questions:

🔹 What tools and data can they connect to?
🔹 How are AI-generated code changes reviewed?
🔹 What happens when an agent interacts with cloud infrastructure?
🔹 Where does the boundary between development and production actually sit?
Snyk’s own careers messaging adds more context, describing its hiring efforts around an “AI Security Platform” focused on software developed by AI agents.
The role is listed as hybrid in Boston, with a reported salary range of $192,000–$230,000.
But there’s an important distinction:
This job posting doesn’t prove that Claude Code or MCP are deployed across Snyk, nor does it reveal exactly how the company secures these workflows.
What it does show is that AI-agent security is becoming specific enough to appear in senior product-security hiring requirements.
The security boundary is moving.
It may no longer stop at the application, cloud infrastructure, or deployment pipeline.
It now includes the AI agent helping build the software in the first place.
